If you know me, you know how much I love coconut milk! That’s why when I was first diagnosed with CSID, I was shocked to discover a lot of coconut milk contains sugar. There are alternatives, of course, and you can find coconut milk without it, but it does take some digging. You’re probably like me and thinking that coconut milk is a healthy alternative.
Ensure you’re getting the right kind, and it’s a great addition to any recipe.
The coconut milk in this recipe is such a star of the show. It gives the dish a nice, creamy texture, but this recipe would be nothing without the garam masala and those whole spices that give it a lovely fragrance.
You can make this dish with or without the onion nut puree. I know many fellow CSIDers have problems digesting onions and some tree nuts, so I put that section aside. It will not take away from the dish or flavor if you exclude these items.
