Are you stumped on what to eat today with your loved ones?
I’ll make it easy for you with a specially crafted menu that includes dinner, desserts, and drinks to inspire and wow those special people in your life. If you’re like me you find yourself meal-planning or considering ingredients ALL the time because that’s what we do when we have food allergies and intolerances.

Food (and especially ingredients) become a really big part of our every day life. If you’re exhausted by constantly keeping track of your starch and sucrose intake then I’m right there with you.
Let’s start with dinner. Keep it simple. The most complicated part of this recipe is the sauce and you can cook the steaks however you typically like them but remember these simple rules that I learned from MealPRO and here’s the guide:

Okay. If your steak is finished we’ll move to the sauce. This part is a little tricky but I promise it’s worth the wait:

Now you move on to the best part in my opinion: desserts!
I love eating sweet things because it’s such a treat (especially with CSID). Most of the things that I eat with a sweet flavor have to be made from scratch so it makes me appreciate them even more. Chocolate covered strawberries are a Valentine’s Day classic, but who wants to spend $12 on 5 strawberries at the grocery store? Also, we can’t have them but we can make them! This is my fifth year making this recipe for Valentine’s Day and it gets better every time:

My favorite drink before being diagnosed was a strawberry margarita so I wanted to make sure I could still have the drink on special occasions, and found that instead of using cointreau or triple sec I could use orange extract to still get the flavor! SO here’s my frozen strawberry margarita recipe:

Hopefully, you’ll get to make and test out one of these delicious recipes! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for more ideas for CSID recipes. There’s also a Facebook group for people with CSID who need support for navigating the disease. Happy Valentine’s Day fellow CSIDers!
